Crazy Week!

This week in the NFL it was a crazy one.  There were many outcomes that were not expected and that would most likely to not occur nine times out of ten.  A 13-0 team a 0-13 both beat the odds this week.  A fan favorite quaterback finally loses.  And the Cleveland Kids almost pull off a W.

First off the undefeated Packers lose in a nail biter.  They lost to the Kansas City Cheifs.  I watched this game and it just seemed like the Cheifs were better prepared for this game.  They came in with more heart and wanted it more.  However, this had the looks of comeback all over it when Aaron Rogers had a quick fourth quarter touchdown to make it a one score game.  But, the Packers couldn't do it.  The Cheifs ended up victorious.
The Colts finally won game.  The improve to 1-13.  They were able to beat the Tennessee Titans 27-13.  I don't know how they did it, but, the Titans must be embarrassed to have lost to such a bad team.  Actually, the Colts just performed today.  They were able to execute key plays and create oppurtunities.

Tim Tebow could not do it this week.  He started off with a great start having to early scores.  However, Tom Brady proved to be too good for the Broncos defense to handle.  The Broncos lost to the Patriots by a score of 41-23.

The Browns almost joined the excitement this week with an overtime thriller.  Seneca Wallace proved to do very well at quarterback.  However, the coaches lost the game this time.  In overtime the Browns had no need to worry about the time.  They have 15 minutes to score.  So why didn't they return to their normal offense?  They should have gone back to playing Cleveland football.  That is how they were able to get into overtime in the first place.
Well, it was a crazy week!  Until next time, the Guru is out.

What to do, What to do

Well, it’s been a while since football has been over and I have been acclimating to life without it everyday after school.  It is weird to get used to, but it feels nice to finally experience senior pass.  To stay involved in football I, of course, watch it all the time.  I also play fantasy football with a bunch of my amigos.  My team is completely average.  I have some good weeks, and some not so good weeks.  At the rate I’m going I pry won’t make the playoffs.  Oh well, fantasy sports have never really been my thing.

In other news, the BCS standings are now updated!  At 10 representing the Big 10 is Wisconsin.  Hopefully Russell Wilson and their powerful offense can keep them rolling.  At 9 is South Carolina.  I haven’t really been following South Carolina this year, however, they are a consistent team each year.  So, I can see them earning this spot.  8, 7, 6, and 5 belong to Kansas State, Boise State, Arkansas, and Oregon, respectively.  I 100% agree with every one of those choices.  Stanford has possession of the number four spot.  If they wish to keep that spot their offense needs to keep producing and their defense needs to step up.

Now, the big controversy between the number 3 and 2 spot.  Oklahoma State and Alabama.  Alabama is listed at two right now and I think that that is the way it should be.  Unlike Oklahoma State Alabama has an offense AND a defense.  They will need both in order to take down LSU who owns number 1.  Oklahoma State has a very productive offense but their defense is lacking.  LSU will destroy them if they don’t get it going.  LSU’s defense is the heart of their team.  They will be able to stop OSU and run all over them with their offense.

All in all I agree with the BCS standings right now and hope that they remain the same.
